What is it?


The Global Studio is a creative workspace and art studio. It brings together stakeholders from a variety of groups in a project aimed at the integration and education of our local community who may be considered at risk of social isolation. Together with TRY Australia we offer accredited courses in General Education combined with vocational studies in screen printing, textiles, fashion & design. The Studio also offers evening classes for migrant and refugee community members to impprove their English language skills through the Certificate in General Education for Adults and offers integration and settlement assistance. The Studio is multicultural and non denominational encouraging participation from a wide range of community groups by creating jobs providing accessible education encouraging community engagement social inclusion The course structure at The Global Studio has been formulated for use in a non-institutional, communtiy setting where varying degrees of support can be given for the duration of the program. Many learners who access community adult literacy & vocational study programs are often nervous and have a tendency to draw on the past bad experiences of unsuccessful learning, It is imperative the adult learner doesn't see the learning environment as a classroom
